Reverend Kenneth Baker
Born in Paterson, New Jersey and graduated from Paterson Eastside High School in 1981 (where the iconic Joe Clark was principal and the backdrop for the film, ‘Lean On Me’). I was privileged to attend California Institute of Technology 1981-1983, where I became a Born-Again Christian on October 31, 1981 and joined First AME Church in Pasadena.
It was at FAME I found my soul mate, Sheila, married her on July 29, 1989 and answered my calling to the Ministry in 1994. I have served as First AME’s emergency response liaison with the city of Pasadena’s emergency preparedness and planning efforts. I continue to serve in the following capacities:
Ultimately, I earned an AA & Associates of Science from Pasadena City College, a BS in Engineering from Cal-State Northridge and attended my first year of seminary at Bethel Seminary in San Diego during a job relocation period. I worked 13 years at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (NASA), 3years at Tekelec as a Testing Technician and Technical Support Staff and 9 years at AT&T as a Testing Technician.
My first assignment began in December of 2007 at Allen Chapel AME in San Bernardino, CA where I served for 5 years as Pastor. My second assignment began in November of 2012 at Bethel AME Church in Perris, CA where I served for 9 years as Pastor. And in November 2021, I was privileged to serve as Pastor at Holy Trinity AME Church in North Las Vegas. My most passionate goal is to create a clear and logically progressive path for churches and communities towards green technology infrastructure and sustainable communities.

This is love, that we walk according to his Commandments; this the commandment just as you have heard it from the beginning you must walk in it.”
